We're Back - Chapter Doors Open for 2019-2020 School Year

Through tenacity, dedication and support from lots of the Beta Zeta Brothers, the Chapter House will re-open for the Beta Zeta Chapter of Sigma Nu at Purdue. There may have been little fanfare when “in ’91 there came to be another,” but there is reason to celebrate the re-opening of the Chapter House for the 2019- 2020 school year.

The re-colonization efforts have generated a lot of interest on campus and a core group of close to 30 men have committed to moving into the Sigma Nu house in the Fall of 2019. The Chapter House has a comfortable capacity for more than twice the number of the core group moving into the House in the Fall. So much more needs to be done to sustain the re-opening initiative. It has been the prudent stewardship by the Housing Corp (Brothers Bill Carr and Joe Warter) over many years, especially in the last two to keep the House in a positive cash flow position, that creates this incredible opportunity to bring the Chapter back to Purdue.

Now the fine print. The Beta Zeta Chapter will not yet be recognized officially by the national Sigma Nu Fraternity until certain thresholds are met, including the number of active members. Nevertheless, we’re off to a great start.
